What kind of gear do you use?
I currently shoot with a Sony ⍺-one mirrorless camera and also have previously enjoyed the Canon R5. For lenses, I currently own a 24-70mm, 90mm macro, and 135mm telephoto, and rent gear if needed on a temporary basis. I also have a 35mm manual focus cinema/art lens.
My current infrared-modified camera is a Sony RXIV, and I own an Olympus underwater point and shoot and an underwater light.
My film cameras are currently vintage: a Kodak Signet 35 (35mm) and a Zeiss Ikon Nettar (120mm).

How much experience do you have?
My first experience with photography was shooting and developing black and white film in the mid 1980s and I’ve never stopped shooting since then. I learned digital color photography starting in 2014 and Photoshop in 2018, focusing on personal projects and portraits for friends. I have sold my images as art prints and earned an honorable mention for a black and white competition in college. I also have several images posted on stock services such as Wirestock.

Where did you learn photography?
After my high school darkroom photography course, my primary influences have been Joel Sartore’s Masterclass in digital photography, a mentorship with Eileen Rafferty in creative photography and the history of photography, and Vanessa Joy’s Mastermind business photography course. Other education and influences include Aaron Nace’s PHLEARN Photoshop course and the Annie Leibovitz Teaches Photogaphy Masterclass, and Tony and Chelsea Northrup’s YouTube channel.
